Privacy notice

How we collect and use personal data submitted through this website. Last updated November 2026.

Spire Ventures respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have.

Who we are

This website is operated by Spire Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08249798, with its registered office at The Barn, Meadow Court, Faygate Lane, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 4SJ and its trading address at 60 Grosvenor Street, London, W1K 3HZ ("Spire Ventures", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about this notice at info@spireventures.co.uk.

What we collect

We only collect personal data that you choose to give us. The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. The register your interest form on the Investing page asks for your name, email address, current role and company, area of interest and a description of your experience, and optionally a link to your LinkedIn profile.

We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers on this website, and we do not collect data about your browsing.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, to assess whether there is a basis for a conversation about working together, and to keep a record of that correspondence. Our lawful basis under the UK General Data Protection Regulation is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and identifying founders and businesses we may wish to back. We will not use your data for marketing or add you to a mailing list without asking you first.

Who we share it with

Form submissions are received and stored by Netlify, Inc., which hosts this website, and are forwarded to us by email. Netlify processes this data on our behalf under its standard terms. We do not sell or share your personal data with any other third party, except where required by law or to professional advisers bound by confidentiality.

Fonts on this website are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address. Google states that it does not use this information to build profiles.

Where it is stored

Netlify stores form submissions on servers that may be located outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Transfers are covered by Netlify's data processing terms, which incorporate the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Emails containing your submission are stored in our business email system.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as is reasonably necessary to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. Where an enquiry does not progress, we delete or anonymise it within 24 months. Where it leads to a working relationship, we retain correspondence for the life of that relationship and for six years afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation. To exercise any of these rights, email info@spireventures.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
